Who are you really?
Your thoughts, the words you speak, the things you do, your triggers, your fears. Start there. Start by asking questions. Question everything. Start unbiased. Search for the answers and the answers to your answers. This will lead you to knowing the next step to take in your spirituality.
The Goal Is To Create Balance
Ever hear ‘As within, so without and as above so below’? True story. You make appointments to care for yourself physically…when’s the last time you got a checkup for the inside of you? If you believe, then you know that you have to take care of that aspect of yourself, just as much as you do for yourself physically.
What keeps you aware and connected?
There’s faith in a higher power. Faith in something bigger than yourself, in whomever created you. When you connect yourself to that higher power you’ll be guided to form moral beliefs , practices and rituals to keep you connected and aligned with this part of yourself. there’s religion. systems that foster community and offer guidance for living and not living. Religions are like clubs. There are leaders and sacred texts like handbooks that are supposed to contain all of the keys to life. Leaders are to enforce what’s written in those texts within their communities. There’s rules, traditions, ways to pray, communicate, and ways to worship. There’s an etiquette to different religions. A way of thinking, a way of speaking, a way of maneuvering to adopt and follow. For a lot of people being an active part of these communities gives them a sense of direction, understanding, purpose, and helps to hold them accountable from a wholeness standpoint.
Your beliefs are your business. That’s, as I would say, “between you and the creator”. What you believe and why you believe in something is for you to discern. What’s important is that you stay in constant alignment with the best version of yourself.
