The Mind is more powerful than most of us know and that’s why there’s a war for it. Make the health and strength of yours a priority and everything else will fall into place.
Challenge Yourself
The same way you exercise your body you should exercise your mind. What’s your mental fitness plan? What mental workouts do you do that support your mental health? Do you strain yourself mentally? What challenges do you face and how do you overcome them? Are there any healthy hurdles in place to help you grow and progress? Challenge yourself by setting them up. For example, practice not saying a specific word for 3 days and see how it goes. Set a goal for your mental health. Create a plan curated specifically to you that keeps you organized and begin to execute immediately. Challenging yourself in a healthy way, mentally, encourages positive and productive thoughts, triggers your creativity and incites critical and intentional thinking.
Wanting To Grow Is Wanting To Learn
You have to learn in order to grow. A toddler is constantly learning. Once they’ve reached a certain point, that growth enables them to be able to learn even more and the cycle repeats. You may not be a toddler but in order for you to grow past the point you’re at now you have to learn. Knowledge is power. When faced with a challenge, what you know can help you to overcome it. So, ask yourself: What challenges am I currently facing? What do I need to learn to overcome them? Seeking knowledge, being curious, asking the right questions, in order to learn is the first step in your growth journey.
Let It All Out And Let It Go!
When you’re sick it’s really hard to breathe if you don’t blow your nose. That mucus isn’t going anywhere no matter how much you sniff and or swallow. It has to come out eventually one way or another. When you’re congested mentally and or emotionally, you can use the same approach. You can’t continue sweeping things under the rug, even if in the past, it’s protected you, maintained you, comforted you or bandaged a wound well enough for you to continue on, when you wanted to just give up. Let go of the rug and confront everything and everyone you’ve swept under it. It’s time to get clean, get clear, and let go of the things that no longer serve you, but weigh you down.
Consider Mentorship
You don’t have to do it all alone if you don’t want to. There are people who understand you and can meet you where you are. Plus, we’re better together!
